The Valencia City Council, through InnDEA, promotes the Local Agreement for Innovation, an initiative based on cooperation and coordination and joins the main actors of the local system of R&D&i.
Objective 1: To foster city talent and knowledge by attracting new ideas and opportunities for research and innovation.
Objective 2: To foster the development of business and institutional innovation.
Objective 3: To allocate Valencia at international scene for research and innovation.
Objective 4: To foster innovation in the economic and social fields that make Valencia a Smart city.
The sectoral networks of InnDEA are communities of the strategic sectors of Valencia and their members have the chance to exchange knowledge, collaborate in R&D&i activities, transfer technology and establish synergies by means of networking. The networks also promote work and good practices with other European regions, developing the Knowledge Economy and the concept of innovation in Spain and abroad.
Within the Smart City Strategy, Valencia displays its urban space as a laboratory for the validation of innovative projects solving some of the issues already detected in its municipal services, increasing the efficiency of its resources, contributing to environmental and economic sustainability, and finally, improving its citizens’ well-being and daily life.
The overall coordination of this project has been entrusted to the InnDEA Valencia Foundation.
